I was lucky enough to have Mother's Day and my birthday on the same day this year. I think of it as getting both of them over with on the same day. Brent does his best to make the days special, but the kids always seem to be extra naughty on those days. Here I am surrounded by my little girls. They are always never too far from me. I love that, most of the time.
Janiel made this cute magazine at school.
Happy Mother's Day. Need I say more?
Janiel made a heart cake at school for mother's day. It worked great for a birthday cake too. Brent also made a yummy pudding and raspberry dessert for the occasion. I was spoiled!! I am so lucky to have the kids and husband that I do. I am grateful to be a mother. I can say that. . . they are sleeping!!!

More Beach Pictures 5/8/2010
Janiel wanted to go to the beach for the night of her birthday. So we went to see the sunset. This one is kind of cute with all but one silhouette.
Wesley made quite the fortress out of sand.

Janiel and her sandcastle.
Kara was pretending to be a mermaid. She loves, loves, loves the water and the beach.
Ashleigh was so upset. We packed swimming suits because we were going to go out to the pizza buffet before the beach. Erin didn't understand and took a swimming suit upstairs to change. She was stopped, and we went out to dinner, minus one swimming suit. Well for some reason Erin had taken Ashleigh's and so she was left with out one. (I should have made Erin go without.) But poor Ashes cried and cried. I took her in the water and got her clothes wet to show her that it was okay. It took quite a while to settle her down, and finally Brent said she could wear his sunglasses. That seemed to make everything okay. So here she is looking pretty stylin'.

Janiel's 9th Birthday
This is the first birthday without any outside family members. It was just us. So we invited some of Janiel's friends to share the fun with us. Macey is on the left. She is a sweet girl from our branch. She has been truly a blessing in Janiel's life. Janiel really enjoys being with her, and the three little girls love her to death. They probably drive her crazy. Anyway, we love Macey and are glad that she is our friend. Then there are Emily and Chelsey on the right. They are our friends thanks to Brent's schooling. Their dad is one of Brent's study partners. So the Adcocks and the Primes spend as much time together as possible. The girls really like to be together. I am grateful for these people in our lives right now.
Opening a present. Loving every minute of it.
Grandma Breinholt and Grandma Prime's packages arrived 30 minutes before the party. It was good planning. Usually the mailman doesn't come until after 2. He was three hours early!!! Grandma and Grandpa Breinholt spoiled her with girly stuff. . . purse, earrings, bracelets, and perfume!

U-Dig-It Park
The kids played nice together. It is fun when they cooperate. It was blazing hot, so it felt nice under this covered sand box.
Wesley and Ashleigh liked climbing together on top of the arch. Poor Ashleigh's face gets flushed really easily in this hot sun.
Wes, Ashleigh and Janiel climbing on the rocks.

Kara and Erin attempting to climb the arch. Ashleigh is at the top. They are all talented in different ways. Ashleigh was the baby that did somersaults when I was pregnant with her and Erin.
We went to play at a park, that had sand for digging and finding treasures. The kids had fun digging, but they had more fun burying each other. Wesley was quite gentle to make sure that sand didn't get in their faces. The girls weren't quite as careful.
Poor Wesley with sand in this teeth. He was a good sport about it.
