Hair Cuts

Aunt Esther took us down to her new salon and made us all look beautiful. I decided to have some layers put in my hair and keep it a little longer. The girls loved the curls that she put in their hair. I have tried with no success to duplicate the curls. Kara and Ashleigh are all smiles. Janiel decided to go short again. So we have round brushed it and it looks cute!
Erin didn't want to go short, but wants her hair as long as Rapunzel's!Ashleigh saw how cute Kara's hair was short, so she decided that she wanted a hair cut like Kara's. It does look pretty cute on her!
Kara likes to look pretty!

The Halls

We spent a day with the Halls. They are an awesome family that we love. The kids all get along so well. We spent some time at the park. Then Wes and Colton went to the Smiths for a while. We ate dinner and just hung out all day. What a fun day!!! Janiel and Jenna have a good time together.
They played hide and go seek for a while at the park.
McKaydee entertained us with her songs and dance.
The kids thought they were kings of the hill on top of the water fountain.
Cute little Lucy had just mastered walking. She is a fun little one.

Shopping with Aunt Judy

Judy and I both needed to go shopping. So we decided to go together. We fit seven kids in her car and off we went. The kids were pretty good and it was nice to have company. It also helped that one of us could just run in the store and not haul all the kids in. We did take them all into Walmart.

Swings at Great Grandma and Grandpa Breinholt's House

It is funny how such simple objects can bring such fond memories. I remember swinging and hanging in Grandma's back yard. The swing set has withstood the test of time!!! The girls had just as much fun playing as I did. We went to help weed their garden. Esther and her family, Jonathan and his family, and we were there to help. It is amazing that Grandpa can still plant such a large garden. I should have taken a picture of that and the little busy workers. Grandpa worked for a little bit. He had to sit down, but he was a great supervisor. He had me thin the corn. So he pointed and described which ones he wanted pulled. He shared some stories about Florida with me. Then we enjoyed Popsicles and ice cream after. Kara is trying to touch the tree with her toes. Maddy was a great help in pushing!!!

More Face Painting

Erin, Ashleigh and Kara got to go to Lily's birthday party. They had the face painting lady come. The kids loved it. After we took Lily and Bella back to the house to play for a while. What cute girls they are.
Cousins enjoying some puzzle time together!

Swimming at the Neighbors

We were going to just turn on the sprinklers at Grandpa's house, but Grandpa went and asked the neighbor if we could swim in their pool. So that is what we did. The kids had fun for about 30 minutes and then it started to thunder. So that ended the fun. Ashleigh was glad to get in the pool again. Thomas, Liam, Melissa and Laura came for a visit. That was fun to have them along.
Janiel sure loves Melissa. She is a fun cousin and very cute.
Thomas wasn't so sure about the water. He wanted Laura, but Laura was busy with little Liam. So Grandpa was a pretty good distraction.
Cute Kara!

What is More Fun Than Grandma's House?

Spending it with cousins!!!! We had a crazy idea to have a cousins' sleep over! We thought it would be a lot of fun to be together with all the kids. So we started off the night making mini pizzas. The kids liked doing that and were very patient in waiting for theirs to be done. Then we filled the night with games, a movie, treats, and some actual sleeping. We had a total of 10 girls and 7 boys for the games. Then 10 girls and 4 boys slept over. We missed having 4 girl cousins there. There are a lot of pictures here, but I couldn't eliminate any of these. It just shows how much fun they have together. Kara picked flowers from Grandma's flower beds. Good thing there were a lot and hopefully it wasn't missed.

Cooper has grown so much since we left. He was running with the big boys. What a cutie. The boys playing in the sand box. My kids spent hours in the sand and on the swing. It is in a nice shady spot between the trees and the shed. Lincoln always had something to say or a question to ask. He is one smart cookie! Lily, Chloe, Kara and Max are hanging out in the tree house that Noah and Wes built. Aunt Amber and Grandpa setting up the "girls' tent" with a little help. The kids loved playing "Duck, duck, goose". It was pretty cute how quickly the little ones caught on. Lily taking a turn at being to goose! Wes and Noah were both good sports. They played so well with the smaller ones. Then we moved on to a game of "Red Light, Green Light". Then "The Three-Legged Race". The bubble blowing contest was a hit. Even when they didn't know how to blow bubbles. Erin and her attempt at blowing a bubble. Bella and her bubble. Maddy had some pretty big bubbles. Lily tried hard at making a bubble. Ashleigh loves to blow bubbles. She does them all the time! Janiel is an old pro at making bubbles. The girls decided to check out their tent before setting up the sleeping bags. We had them watch a movie after all the fun and games. They are so cute all lined up on the couch. Max loves hair. He found Janiel's just asking to be played with. It was pretty cute to see. Finally, we had some progress on the "sleep" part of the night. Bella, Maddy, Chloe and Lily are lined up ready for sleep. Kara, Erin's sleeping bag and Ashleigh are ready to go. I was lucky to sleep in this tent too. For the most part they did really well at going to sleep. It was after 11 by the time that they all settled down for the night (in our tent). The other tent included some of the party animals. Melissa, Janiel and Sydney were the big girls and got to sleep in the "boy's tent". This tent also included Wes, Noah, Max, Lincoln and Grandpa! Grandpa let the older kids run around for a while after all the others were in bed. But the little ones woke up early (the sun and a train arrived about 6:15) and didn't let the older kids sleep in for long. Thomas showed up for the party for a little bit.
