Clam Pass

We hadn't been to the beach in a very long time.  We had rainy weather for a while, then a cold front.  But Saturday was a beautiful day, just right for the beach.  So we loaded up and headed to Clam Pass.  The kids like to go to this beach because after you park, you get to ride a "tram" to the beach.  Really it is a 9 passenger golf cart (or 6 passenger with a bag of towels, a bag of beach toys, a bag of water and snacks, two chairs, an umbrella, and a couple tubes).
We found a couple good photo shots.

Another shot of goofy kids.

I really liked this bunch of grass against the water.

Notice the bunch of vegetation Erin has?  She told me she picked it so that I could make some cereal.   Might be healthy, might not!

Wes, Janiel and Ashleigh spent some time swimming across this inlet.  The canal meets the ocean and is kind of deep.  They had fun and did it several times.
Wes up to his neck in the canal.

Erin and Kara spent their time digging holes and sitting in them.  These were on a sandbar so they filled up with water.

This was just a very long pile of sea shells on the beach.
Part of the sandbar was quite smooth.  So the girls wrote their names in the sand.  Cute.  Wes broke the seeds from the mangrove trees to make his name.

What a great day on the beach.  The water is starting to cool off.  The kids didn't spend as much time in the water.
