What do you do when you have twins going on a field trip, on the same day, with different classes? I contemplated asking if I could take one to the other's class. But luckily, Brent had that day off. So we both got to go. We just combined out little groups together for a fun day at the zoo.
Momma and baby elephant drinking.
I think one of my favorite animals is the tiger.
Ashleigh and Erin and a couple of their friends.
This was one of the cutest sights ever. The baby giraffe was just over two weeks old. The mommy came over to give it a kiss. So sweet!
The baby wasn't so tiny. The zookeeper said it was 6 feet tall when it was born.
But it looks pretty small next to 15 foot mom.
The polar bear put on quite a show for the kids. This was a new exhibit for us to see. He would float back, go under, push off of a rock, and come right up in front of the kids behind the glass. He did it over and over and over again. It made the kids scream every time! So funny.
We could see him under the water, pushing off of the rock.
Surprise!
The girls sitting on some polar bears.
They tried to be little eagles in the nest.
Back to the elephant.
It was a beautiful day at the zoo. It was especially fun since we got to hang out with daddy!
