Great Stirrup Cay-February 3, 2011'

My favorite day of the trip was the day spent on Norwegian's private island.  We were ferried in by boat load and dropped off to spend however long we wanted there.  I believe we got there around 10.  The kids loved it.  They love playing at the beach.  We brought snorkel gear.  Erin had won a rental from the Kid's Korner.  Erin isn't about to put her face under, but Ashleigh loved it.  Brent, Grandpa, Wes and Janiel went a ways out to snorkel.  Some of the pictures they took with a underwater camera.  The girls loved playing on the beach and splashing in the water.  The water was cool, but not uncomfortable.  They also had a big slide for the older kids.  They had a place to eat lunch-it was barbecue and delicious.  The girls had a meltdown at the buffet line, and I was alone.  Not a nice thing to do.  But we made it through and enjoyed our day at the beach.  We ferried back at 4.
A striped fish under water.
Ashleigh loved to snorkel and did awesome!!!
A view of the island and all the people.
More people.  We were worried about not getting any chairs, but we got there early enough to claim some.  We sat right on the water's edge so that I could keep track of the girls.  We even had some with our stuff that we never sat on.
Another shot of the beach.
The snorkelers saw this sting ray.
Some fish that Wes found.
I think this is a self picture taken by Wes.  He loves to snorkel.  His flippers are starting to get small.  He is now wearing size 11 men's shoe.  Brent only wears a 9.
Janiel and Kara enjoying the cool water.
Ashleigh in her gear.  You can see Wes, Brent, and Grandpa getting ready to go out.
Erin tried to make some sand castles.  This sand was more coarse and didn't pack so well.  But she enjoyed trying.
Wes ready to head out.
Grandpa ready to try snorkeling for the first time.
Kara trying the flippers.  I love the high step and swinging arms.
