We had been busy preparing for our big move. Grandma and Grandpa Prime came to help us drive back to Utah. Grandma and Grandpa Breinholt were going to be coming the next week to help drive the Penske Truck. Grandma and Grandpa Prime came a little early so they could enjoy some of Florida's Tropical Weather!!!
It was too bad that Tropical Storm Debby decided to also come that same week. Our beach days were running out. So we decided to go ahead and head for the beach. Brent was busy studying for his National Board Exam (poor guy).
This is what we saw when we got there. The palm trees were blown by the wind.
The beach was very small as the water had risen with the wind and the rain.
But that wasn't going to stop us!
Ashleigh, Janiel, Kara, Grandpa, and Erin heading to the water.
They did venture in.
When we come to this beach, the posts on the left of Wes are usually out of the water!
The water was a little chilly, but the wind made it feel worse. They didn't last too long.
Kara found joy in the foamy water!
Crazy kids! Ready? One, two, three...
JUMP!!!
Grandpa and Wes went out for a swim in the rough waves.
The girls started collecting a grass like seaweed to make a nest. As we sat there, the wind was blowing the sand that had dried out. It almost felt like we were being sandblasted. The girls didn't like that in their eyes and I didn't like that on my legs!
Working together!
Then we decided to take a drive down to the pier. We have gone three times, two of which were very windy. This one wins the most windy by far!
This pelican was just hunkered down trying not to blow away.
Ashleigh leaning into the wind. Crazy stuff!

I don't remember this. I guess it was that week we were in Oregon looking for our new home. It's been awhile since a real storm blew into Florida. Dang, we missed it and now we are gone too.
