We decided to stop for some visits in Idaho. We have made good friends there that are dear to our hearts. Time does get away from us and often we don't connect with those who have filled our hearts. So we decided this time we would try to catch a few. We stopped at the Murray's house. Shawn was a nurse that Brent worked with right out of college. Then he went away to Nurse Anesthesia school. So Brent has used him as a source of comfort and information. It was a great visit.
Then we saw some old neighbors, the Davis'. It was a fun visit with them. It was great to see their kids and how big they have grown. Kim was a good friend while we lived in Chubbuck. She was more like a sister.
Then we went to see our old house. To our surprise, it had gone from cream and peach to white and blue (the burgundy trim stayed the same)! We never really loved the color of the house, but it was a great starter home for us. It was fun to make the improvements inside to make it a great home.
They also added a nice garage on the side. It was sad to see that they had ripped out the pine tree and some other bushes. Overall, it looks like it is being loved.
Good old Moses Street in Paradise Acres.
After those visits, we went to the Stucki's. Jeff was one of Brent's mission companions. After their missions, they both attended Rick's College. We did a few things together as couples. They went off to medical school. We stopped to see them in Alabama when we moved to Florida. Since then, he has finished and works in Pocatello as an orthopedic surgeon, specializing in hands. We were just going to stay for a visit, but they convinced us to spend the night. Our kids had a lot of fun playing with their kids. Their oldest is a boy (who is a month younger than Wes) and seven girls. So needless to say, they all had a great time. Their house was gorgeous. It is a great size for 8 kids...but I wouldn't want to clean it! What a view!
On to home and a regular schedule!
