The second day of the trip went well too. We spent about 9 hours on the road. There seemed to be a lot of pit stops. It seemed like I would get off for someone who couldn't wait another second, drive a couple of miles for a gas station, only to find a rest stop 2 more miles down the road. The rest stops were really nice and clean along the way. They were easy on and off the freeway.

Heather and Lance were so nice to put all of us up. We brought a cot and air mattress. Wes slept in the front room on the cot, and all the girls and I slept in Brooke's room. The little girls didn't want to sleep on the air mattress, so they rotated: two slept on the floor and one slept in Brooke's bed. Janiel and I shared the queen mattress. It worked and didn't seem too crowded (for us---maybe it did for Lance and Heather!)
