We are so thankful that we have friends in Florida. It makes our stay here all the better! We are blessed to have people like the Smiths in our lives. Janiel has been especially blessed to have a friend that is so perfect for her. They get along so well. Never fighting. Never playing the silly games that girls sometimes play. They are like two peas in a pod. We were so excited to have Macey for a week while her parents went on a business trip. Then we were doubly excited to have her a second time while her parents traveled to Albania to get her brother from his mission. I think she did very well being away from Mom and Dad for so long. It was especially hard not being able to talk on the phone. So we had a few adventures besides the daily routine of school. We had soccer one night (found here).
A few days before when they were playing, they wanted to do a lemonade stand. The preparations happened at Macey's house and then they came here to sell. They made $10! I thought that was quite good! They tried again while she was staying here, but they got rained out and only made $2.

Melanie sent some fabric for something to do. So they made pajama shorts one day and a skirt on a couple others. I didn't get a picture of Janiel sewing because I forgot, but wanted to make sure I got one of Macey because Melanie wasn't there. (Poor Janiel. I might just make her pose for a picture.)

| We made cute flowers for their hair out of the left over fabric. Just layered several different flowers from the print! |
Both Macey and Janiel did a very good job on their skirts. They took it nice and slow to make sure the hems were even and neat. They learned to gather. The finished product is adorable.

It was kind of funny to have the girls matching. Macey asked if she was allowed to wear the skirt for three days in a row. Why not? On Saturday night we went to a baptism in our branch. Then they wore them on Sunday to church. Macey wanted to wear hers to the airport on Monday. (I did wash her shirt Monday morning.)

All the girls wanted to have another sleep over down stairs. There were four girls that wanted to sleep by Macey. So she got stuck in the very middle.
Saturday night we were able to have Parker over too. We kept him Sunday and Monday. On Sunday, Macey and Parker decorated a sign for their brother.
The night came that they were able to see their brother after two years. What a sweet reunion.
Macey, we were glad to have you (and Alli and Parker) for the week. Hope you enjoy being back in your own bed!
