Pleasant Grove Rodeo

We really wanted to take the girls to the rodeo.  We would be gone to Trek during Lehi's Rodeo.  So we looked for other options.  Pleasant Grove was having theirs on a good weekend, so we went.
The girls know a lot about rodeos and cowgirls stuff.  They know it because they watch Heartland.
It is a Canadian TV series that is about a girl, Amy, and her horse ranch.  It is a very good family show and the girls beg to watch it.  We have watched it on Netflix.  But they only have seasons 1-4.  We finished the last episode on Sunday. I think they might go through withdrawals!
So the first thing of the rodeo was the "Cash Cow Grab".  They asked all the kids that are 8 and under to come onto the field.  I think they underestimated how many kids in Utah County were under 8!
Then the kids chased real cows that had dollar bills taped to them.  Poor cows!
Then the Chick-Fil-A cow was there to pass out coupons.  And he got mauled too.
Our girls were content to sit in the stands and watch!
Janiel and Kara
 Erin and Ashleigh
They loved every minute of the rodeo.
The sky gave a dazzling sunset.

My pictures aren't' great because the sun was setting.
So we saw steer wrestling...
 Bronco riding...
 Barrel racing...
 Half time show...  Crazy motorcyclists!

 Some bull riding!!!
We also saw mutton busting and wild cow milking.  We loved it all!  The girls were convinced they needed cowgirl hats after all that!
