We had an early Easter Egg Hunt. A family in our branch was putting one on for the Big Brother Big Sisters and invited the primary kids along. Janiel was gone for the morning with her school to the fair. Wes was too big for all this, so it was me and the little girls plus a neighbor girl (who happened to be at our house at 9 on a Saturday morning.) They started off by making some cute bags to collect eggs in.
They had some fun games set up. The only one my girls would do was the dart throw.
They just wanted to go for the eggs. They had planned for 60 kids and there was probably only 20. So there were lots of eggs to go around.

| Ashleigh found a bag full! I have realized that Ashleigh doesn't look at the camera because she is afraid to blink! Silly girl. |

The eggs were actually empty, but they took them in to be traded for candy. Not a bad idea. Probably saved time, didn't attract ants, and the candy wouldn't have fit! The girls loved finding so many eggs and loved the candy surprise at the end.
Your girls are getting so big! It will be fun to see them:) It is always better when there are fewer kids than expected at egg hunts. We had the opposite problem last year with Brooke. I think she got 2 eggs.
ReplyDeleteSo fun to see your pics. We are excited to be here and wish we could've made it earlier to the hunt. The kids got to pick out a bag and get candy anyway, so they were thrilled. Maybe we can get together before the kids go back to school.
