Baby Jake

We left our cat, Tiger Lily, in Utah.  I wasn't sure how to make a 7 day journey with a cat to Florida, wasn't sure how cats and fleas work in Florida, and didn't want to pay the $400 deposit to have her come along.  So my brother watched Tiger Lily for the first year.  Then when he moved out of our house, my parents took Tiger Lily. She isn't a happy cat.  In fact, she is down right mean.  My family calls her Psycho.  But we tolerate and love her anyway.  Brent went to get her from my parents' house and she scratched him so badly that he left her there.  The kids convinced him to go get her a few days later.  It took her a few days and lots of scratches later to warm up.  The girls were disappointed that they couldn't have a cat to snuggle.  They walk by her and say, "Is Tiger Lily vicious?"  It fluctuates minute to minute.  Judy, my sister-in-law, came over to can salsa.  Her son, Cooper, says, "I know that cat! She is mean."  Then he continued to say, "She looks happy."  I hope she is happy to be home.
A week or so after we got home, Amber and Jonathan called to see if we wanted a kitten.  They had gotten one, but decided that wasn't for them.  We consented and got Jake.  We decided to go with the Peter Pan theme in names.  Jake is from Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  He was just six weeks old.  He is a very sweet cat.  He loves the girls to snuggle him and carry him around.  He purrs easily and loves to lay on his back.

We just love the white tip on his tail!
Tiger Lily does not like him.  She will walk by him and hiss.  Then she runs away.
He is growing up and loves to go outside.  He has two neighbor kittens to play with outside.  I'm glad that the girls have a kitten to snuggle and love.
