Rusty Award

I love science fair projects.  Not really.  I guess it gives the kids the process and the experience to write and research.  I find them to be a pain.

Janiel wanted to do one on rust.  We saw a lot of things rust in Florida.  So she chose to see what makes steel rust.  She dipped steel wool in several different liquids.  She took pictures at different intervals.  It was pretty interesting.

The hydrogen peroxide turned rusty instantly and was bubbling and hot to the touch.

This is after 2 1/2 days.

She did a good job on her poster.  I am glad that I have a Cricut to do the cutting now.

I'm sure we have more science fairs in our future.

She won second place in her class.  So proud of her!
