Our Church
This is Kara after Valentines party in nursery. No Nursery didn't decorate her. That was due to some help from Wesley.
This is our church. We have to drive about 30 minutes to get there. We meet in a middle school cafeteria. They push some tables aside and set up some chairs in the middle. There is a stage, so the pulpit is up on the stage. They have a microphone and podium. The organ is quite portable, as they use the same keyboard in the Primary room. If you are late, then you get to sit at the tables. I have thought maybe this isn't such a bad thing. We haven't sat at one yet. I think your back might get tired, but the kids have a place to color!!! The first time we went they had a sign hanging on the front gate. The banner said, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" We knew we were in the right place! The kids all break off to their own table, corner, or the stage. Kara has nursery in a storage closet (it is quite large). Then primary goes to a teachers' lounge and the Relief Society to a corner. It is amazing how they make it work. You can feel the Spirit. The people are so friendly and nice too. They are all very concerned and willing to help. We love being in the branch. There are probably about 100 people there each Sunday.
