It is hard to believe that eleven years ago, I spent my birthday in the hospital. It was the best birthday gift ever to have a brand new baby. Janiel missed my birthday by 49 minutes but she arrived on my doctor's birthday. She has been a pleasure to have in our family. We are lucky to call her ours.
She has officially run out of fingers, so she had to move on to toes.

Can you tell he was happy to be there? He missed his hockey practice so that he could celebrate Janiel's birthday. Not too happy about that. Oh well. He got over it.
She got a lot of clothes for her birthday. It is what she needed the most. Plus girls like clothes.
She requested "Tonya Hamill's Secret Chocolate Cake" for her birthday cake. Usually it is made with three round layers, but since we are in a condo, furnished with the minimum, she got a rectangle shaped cake. I did cut it down the middle so it had some frosting in the middle. I have to say that it is my favorite cake too. Good thing, we had leftovers for my birthday!
We are so happy to have Janiel part of our family. She is a great helper with the little girls. She is sweet and thoughtful. She is an excellent student. She is a loyal and trustworthy friend.
