Yes, We are Crazy!

So part of the plan was to spend the night in a hotel in Red Deer and then go to the water park at Sylvan Lake the next day.  The weather was supposed to be yucky, but when you are on vacation and have made plans, it is hard to adjust.  We just decided to do it.
The benefit of it being the only crazy ones in 56 degree weather is that there are no lines.  We could walk right to the slide and go down.  That has its drawbacks too.  My legs got a little tired of climbing all those stairs.
 Our frozen swimmers.
Doesn't that sky look perfect for the water park?
It is much better if you are under water!
Val brought her granddaughters, Madison and Emma.  So our girls had a fun time together.
Janet also drove up and brought her boys.
Just love it when the freezing cold water splashes on you!

So is it a bad sign when the life guard has a hoodie on?  I think so.
Luckily they had three hot pools.  So we would go freeze for a little bit, then get in the hot tub to warm up.  Then repeat.  Although it was pretty miserable to get out of the warm water!
The kids had a fun time.  The slides were perfect for them (and me).  We had a fun time with cousins, aunts, and grandma and grandpa.
